The Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai has appointed Anthony Tschudin
as Resort Manager.
With over 15 years of hospitality industry
experience, Anthony joins the resort in northern Thailand from the
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi in Japan where he held the same
Anthony’s career started in Switzerland in 2002
when he joined the Auberge d L’Etoile & Le Grand Combin as a Service
& Kitchen Trainee.
From there, he spent 6 months working at the
Shangri-La hotel in Dubai as a Management Trainee, before a brief
stint working for Guardian Protection back in Switzerland.
He returned to Shangri-La in 2007 working as a
Corporate Trainee: Restaurant Manager at the Island Shangri-La in
Hong Kong, before moving to the Traders Hotel in Abu Dhabi as
Service Manager – F&B Operations in 2009.
Anthony spent a further
four years with Shangri-La in Beijing and Hong Kong
working his way up the ranks to Assistant Director of Food &
Beverage before joining the Siam Kempinski Bangkok in 2013 as
Director of F&B.
After just over 2 years there, Anthony joined The
Ritz-Carlton Macau as EAM – F&B, followed by The Ritz-Carlton
Anthony joined Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi,
working as Hotel Manager in 2019, his most recent position before
returning to the Kingdom of Thailand.
“I am an Asian at heart,” said Anthony,
pointing out that he spent a good portion of his youth in
Philippines, where his father worked at the time. “I may be Swiss
by birth, but I am more South-East Asian than European in many
regards … Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai has a reputation in the
region as a coveted holiday destination brimming with rich
cultural experiences, breathtaking natural abundance and pure
wellbeing in all aspects,” said Anthony. “We are certainly going to keep
it that way!”
Anthony has a BSc in Management & Hospitality from École
Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland.
